It’s lovely and sunny as I write this. Long may it continue! Sun just makes everything seem so much better, doesn’t it – even print deadlines ;-)


I hope you like the front cover this edition. The photos were taken by Jonathan Busch, a 15 year old pupil at Brockhill Park Arts & Performing College. Jonathan has been interested in photography since an early age and is currently in the process of obtaining a certificate in photography. He loves being outside observing nature and capturing its beauty on camera.


Jonathan moved from Switzerland to Hythe two years ago and says that he really likes Hythe, especially the seaside. He hopes that his work will make people pause, think about and appreciates Hythe’s history, its tranquillity and beauty.


Jonathan aspires to pursue a career as a professional photographer and to open his own art gallery in Hythe. His next exhibition will be at the Church Mouse Studio from 3-16 September (we will add that to our Events pages so you don’t forget).


Gratuitous photo is Little Doddsy in her ski helmet taken on our recent holiday – she is a very keen skier (and much prefers going fast and straight down the piste rather than perfecting any turns – she makes Granny nervous!).
