We have various experiences of la- bels between us, including creating a label, Soundpost Records, for one of Jon’s earlier solo al- bums, and decided that putting it out on our own label was probably best.
Until one day Jon said, ‘what would be the totally best thing that could happen to the record?’ And I said, ‘well Topic could take it’ as a bit of a joke as that would just be out of this world dream state for me.

To get interest from someone whose work I so greatly admire made me see the whole project in a new light. I had made my music just as I wanted to, thinking it was all a bit of self- gratifying game, but here it was being praised by Tony Engle, the man behind countless inspirational projects and artists. up with a deal. Looking Glass was released to mostly
I still feel lightheaded when I think about it. With the Topic backing I was able to get a great agent.ABM mange my tours and festivals and have taken me into venues I would not have approached had I been doing it all in house.
****reviews in September 2010.
I tour with Sam and Rob Harbron a great concertina player, fiddler and guitarist replacing Jon on the Looking Glass tracks and helping develop new material for the next album. Touring with Sam and Rob is a laugh and a wonderful music experience – not quite in the liver damaging league of the Witches, but I am loving being back on stage again. Tis is balancing act between preparing articles and papers to keep the academic side up and of course the running of our own clubs.
I have no idea what bring for any of these. w w w. fa y hie ld . com
