ally Stirling, owner of Skin Solutions clinic at Mulberry House, shares her beauty tips and secrets with us.

Hair, make-up or skin? For me the most important is… definitely skin. Hair and make-up merely enhance your look but the condition of your skin affects your overall appearance.

My view on cosmetic surgery is… with all the amazing non-invasive treatments now available, I don’t think surgery is necessary to achieve the look you want. Most women would like to turn back the clock a few years as far as their skin is concerned and that’s where Skin Solutions can help.

Skin Solutions at Mulberry House have moved to beautiful new premises at 21 Manor Place.

My favourite salon treatment is… either the CACI Ultimate non surgical facelift treatment which educates the facial muscles whilst firming and toning them, or IPL hair removal which conditions the skin while removing hair – fantastic.

My top beauty tip is… drink lots of water to keep skin hydrated and always remove make-up at night.

The trade secret I stand by is… use a primer under foundation to give skin an airbrushed look.

My top five beauty essentials I use Jan Marini 5 step products, consisting of a bioglycolic cleanser, serum, bioclear cream, transformation cream and SPF 30. They help improve most skin concerns and give skin a healthy glow. SPF 30 is vital protection for the face and neck.
