AASIF MANDVI — BEST KNOWN as the senior Middle Eastern correspondent on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” and “that guy” in Spider-Man 2—brings a satirical per- spective on primetime news to the Frauenthal Theater in Muskegon on March 12. Many years ago, Indian-born Mandvi was merely a young lad playing the role of a pixie in a school play, complete with tights and bonnet. Although he has been a member of the Best F#@king News Team Ever since 2007, Mandvi claims to still wear

tights under his uniform as a discreet token of his humble roots. Unburdened by objectivity, journalistic integrity and sometimes accuracy, he comments on current events and pop culture as reported by network behemoths with an alternative and reality-based point of view. This comedic performance, which will feature Mandvi’s unrivaled stage presence and ironic voice, melds multimedia with audience interaction in a behind the scenes look at “The Daily Show.” During the Q & A session, audience members are encouraged to ask anything they’ve ever wanted to know about the fake news program. This appearance is exclusive to Michigan, so don’t miss this opportunity to hear Mandvi spill the beans on Jon Stewart and his fellow correspondents. Reported by Samara Napolitan
