INDUCTION AND PLUS@DUNDEE
PLUS@Dundee aims to help students settle into their programme of study, the University campus and to the city and it really begins before arriving in Dundee.
All applicants are given access to My Dundee for Applicants (see page 25), and during the summer we provide further information on My Dundee for everyone joining us in September. Information such as course handbooks, reading lists, Matriculation (registration) details and Welcome Week information all helps students to prepare for student life at the University of Dundee.
Welcome Week (also known as Freshers’ Week) is the week before classes officially begin and includes a full programme of events - social, sporting and academic – run by the University in partnership with Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA).
Specific events are arranged for students who live locally and are planning to stay at home so that they can meet other new students before Welcome Week. We also arrange sessions during the first weekend of Welcome Week to give students’ families more information about life at the University of Dundee.
Arriving in any new situation is a challenging experience and staff of the University of Dundee along with DUSA are committed to helping you ease yourself into the University community as pleasantly as possible and so the Welcome Week experience is designed to help you settle in. Visit
