E-LEARNING AND ONLINE RESOURCES
Learning and teaching approaches throughout the University are enhanced by the latest online technologies. The University of Dundee’s e-learning systems are leading the UK with most modules, and in some courses, all modules, supported with electronic resources housed in state-of-the-art e-learning systems.
My Dundee is the University of Dundee’s virtual learning environment (vle), giving our students online access to learning materials, student clubs and societies, and many other resources, including the University of Dundee webmail service.
Students and tutors are able to interact online using My Dundee. Much of the course material and other resources are also available online including access to published articles, searching tools, secure discussion areas, group work with shared resources and previous exam papers. Students can also develop personal e-portfolios which are used to support and document their learning.
Many subjects utilise online assessments for instructive purposes, allowing learning to occur through a private interaction between students and the resources provided.
My Dundee for Applicants All applicants to the University of Dundee are given a username and password to access My Dundee for Applicants and the University of Dundee email system. Via My Dundee, we show, month by month, more about the full capabilities of this excellent tool, and at the same time provide more information about the course, the campus facilities, the clubs and societies, relevant news items and enable applicants to contact other applicants and ask us questions through our discussion board.
