The University regularly achieves high ratings in the various published league tables.
• We were ranked 1st in the UK for Pharmacology and 2nd in the UK for Dentistry by the Guardian University Guide 2011. They also rated us 2nd in Scotland for Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medicine, Politics and Town & Regional Planning.
• The Times Good University Guide 2011 ranked us 1st in Scotland for Anatomy & Physiology, Biological Sciences and Civil Engineering and 3rd in Scotland for Computing.
• The Complete University Guide 2011 ranked us 1st in Scotland and in the UK Top 10 for Civil Engineering, Dentistry and Town & Regional Planning, and 2nd in Scotland and in the UK Top 10 for Anatomy & Physiology.
One stop campus From the first time a student sets foot on the University campus, they know they’ve made the right decision.
Study facilities • While the main library is located right in the centre of the city campus, specialist libraries are located within some academic departments, e.g. art & design, nursing, law.
• Our Information and Communication Services (ICS) look after a network of computer suites across the campus and runs a help service for students.
Dundee University Students’ Association (DUSA) • The Students’ Association offers 4 bars and 2 nightclubs, with theme nights and live music to cater for all tastes.
• DUSA has had a recent £4m refurbishment.
• Students are encouraged to get involved with the decision-making structure of the University through representation on various committees, such as Student Representative Council (SRC) and Class Representatives.
