Culture The city’s burgeoning cultural quarter is home to Dundee Repertory Theatre, Dundee Contemporary Arts and the Sensation Science Centre. History and heritage themes are also explored at Discovery Point and Verdant Works.


Value for money The cost of living is approximately 14% lower than the rest of the UK. Dundee has been named the most cost-effective place to study in Scotland twice recently in an annual survey conducted by the Royal Bank of Scotland.


Shopping While the Overgate Shopping Centre represents a paradise for high street shopping, Dundee also offers a huge selection of supermarkets, cheap record shops and independent shops.
