UCAS EXTRA
UCAS Extra is a process that enables applicants to make an additional course application through UCAS to universities with vacancies without waiting for Clearing in August.
UCAS Extra operates from the end of February until the end of June and during this time universities list courses with vacancies on the UCAS website.
To be eligible for UCAS Extra an applicant must have: • already made 5 course choices • received decisions for all these course choices • either had no offers or declined all the offers received.
All applicants who become eligible for UCAS Extra will be informed by UCAS.
In UCAS Extra you can only apply to one institution at a time but you can apply to an unlimited number of institutions until Extra closes at the end of June.
