t Ecobuild this year Total Home Environment will be exhibiting its range of high quality heat recovery, air source heat pumps and central vacuum systems as well as the company’s 250% efficient Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery
Unit (MVHR), which will be operating on the stand. The MVHR unit offers a combination of passive and active
heat recovery to deliver fresh, filtered air whilst considerably reducing the total heating load of a property. The mini exhaust air source heat pump incorporated into the MVHR unit eliminates cold drafts often suffered when supplying fresh air into a room. The unit can completely negate the ventilation heating requirement of a property which could be approximately 50-60% of the total heating load of the home. Total Home Environment have over twelve years’ experience
offering expert advice and delivering environmental solutions for the UK specification market and providing economical and sustainable solutions for a healthy and comfortable home. With continued rises in fuel costs and increasing pressure from Building Regulation Part F for adequate ventilation and Part L for energy conservation, saving heat whilst providing sufficient ventilation within the home is more important than ever. The company also assists with the Planning Department requirements to meet Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. Driven by the philosophy of fabric first, recover second
and therefore generate what is really needed, Total Home Environment provides a turnkey solution for specifiers, housebuilders and the selfbuilder throughout the UK. Total Home Environment will be demonstrating its central
vacuum systems which provide a powerful and convenient alternative to portable vacuum cleaners that tend to be awkward, unhealthy and unreliable. Unlike ordinary vacuum cleaners the system works by simply inserting a lightweight hose into a convenient vacuum point. Dust is then sent to the vacuum appliance located away from living areas so that no dust is allowed to re-circulate. The high performance motor consumes less energy whilst providing up to three times the suction power of a portable vacuum, adding value through its performance, economy and creation of a healthier living space within both new build and refurbished properties. Further information and technical advice on the range of
heat recovery units and central vacuum systems from Total Home Environment is available.
