ack by popular demand, Ann Russell Vitale returns to Bald Head Island this
year to move and transform energy during three weekend yoga retreats: Sun Saluta- tions April 8−10; Tibetan Yoga May 6−8; and Kundalini Yoga October 21−23. In April, guests will stretch and extend the mind and body with Hatha yoga breathing techniques and movement patterns, an excellent way to ready oneself for Tibetan yoga, while learning a wonderful daily sun salutations routine. Students will immerse into Tibetan yoga’s ancient ability to strengthen concentration and the power of the breath in May. And ending her 2011 yoga retreats on the island in October with the playful, yet powerful “Warrior Yoga” or Kundalini, Vitale is sure to challenge mind, body and spirit. One of only a handful granted permis-
sion by the renowned Ligmincha Institute to teach the discipline of Bon Tibetan Yoga in the West, the gifted instructor’s background also includes extensive Kundalini yoga study with Yogi Bhajan in New York City. Currently an instructor in Elon University’s performing arts department, Vitale’s colorful 30 years of teaching experience boasts celebrities such as Jon Bon Jovi.
