Metro Division Lt. Gov. Deirdre Clark

Hi everybody! Hope everyone is enjoying the fact that soon the semester will finish! My name is Deirdre Clark. I am a freshman attending the George Washington University in Washington, DC. My major is Geological Sciences, with a concentration in Ecology, and my minor is German Language and Literature. I have two jobs – I am a tutor at one of DC’s public elementary schools, and I work as a research assistant for the Geology Program digitalizing geological maps. I am also deeply interested in climate change and read up a lot about the

issue, especially in conjuncture with developing countries. Some of my goals for the upcoming year are to hold more divisional events, communicate with other clubs through newsletters of divisional council meetings, promote a Kiwanis Family event, and work with Kiwanis to charter more CKI clubs in the DC area. And two tidbits are that I am a proud Canadian-American citizen, and I am related to a German baroness, a Mayflower pilgrim, and James Smithson, the founder of the Smithsonians. I wish everyone a wonderful April!

Tidewater-64 Division Lt. Gov. Lana Borgie

What's up Capital? I am Lana Borgie, your

returning Tidewater-64

Division Lieutenant Governor. I am entering my fifth year at Christopher Newport University and I'm majoring in Economics and Music Theater. When not doing CKI stuff, I enjoy scene rehearsals, bowling, watching the Indians play baseball, sleeping, and cooking. Some of my goals for the year and for the division are to have 5 clubs in good standing, hold 3 divisional events (one of which is directly marketed for the local

community), have all MRFs (mine and my clubs') complete and in on time, complete 150 service hours, and have all clubs in the division represented at DCON. Here are two random facts about me: 1) I still have my baby blanket (it's blue and extremely raggedy), and 2) I buy towels and bed sheets in bright colors because I believe in the use of color therapy. Is that random enough for you? Anyways, I look forward to working with you all this year!

makes me a computer geek I guess. I also deal blackjack and Texas Hold'em for a traveling casino. I love to ski, dance, and camp out. My goals for this coming year include holding two Tri-K days in my division and to hold a divisional Summer Social. I'm so excited for this year and I hope all of you are too!!

Valley Division Lt. Gov. Heather Waite

Hey everyone! My name is Heather Waite and I am your new Valley LTG! I am a junior at Virginia Teach majoring in Business Information Technologies, Management and Marketing. Besides CKI I am involved with Alpha Gamma Delta, and occasionally I will go to E.L.I.T.E. or Marketing club meetings when I have free time. I am also an intern for Danaher Motion in Radford. My goals for this year include lots of interclubbing, chartering a new club,

ensuring all clubs a are in good standing, produce a website for the division, and create a newsletter every month for the Valley Division. I like to take random road trips all the time. I once drove to Grove City, PA for a night just to go shopping at the Heinz store and then drove straight back to Virginia Tech. When I arrived at Tech, I packed again and left within the hour for another road trip to Richmond. I also love to bake cupcakes!
