The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, a 50:50 joint venture between Schroders and Legal & General Property, is carrying out the comprehensive redevelopment of Bracknell Town Centre.
Princess Square Shopping is an integral part of future plans for the Town Centre. The Partnership has recently submitted a planning application for the partial refurbishment and redevelopment of Princess Square and this is but one of a number of new initiatives planned by BRP to improve the town and retail stock.
Acting on behalf of the Partnership, DTZ wish to recruit a Centre Manager to join the Bracknell team to be responsible for the on site management of the Princess Square and its further development.
The Role Princess Square Shopping Centre is a 184,000 sq ft scheme at the heart of Bracknell Town Centre. The Centre is anchored by the adjacent Bentalls department store, Sainsbury’s, Boots, Argos and includes 50 other tenants as well as 540 space Multi-storey car park A planning application has been submitted for a £2m partial refurbishment and redevelopment of Princess Square, including the creation of around 19,000 sq ft of new retail space. Reporting to DTZ and in particular the General Manager of the Bracknell Estate, the Centre Manager will be responsible for the delivering the agreed service, strategy and business plans agreed with the Partnerships‘ Develop- ment and Asset Management teams and prepare, monitor and execute the service charge budgets on time and within the agreed parameters. He or she will deputise for the General Manager and ensure maintenance of standards and customer service.
The Person With strong interpersonal skills the ideal candidate will have the flexibility and experience to meet this challenging and diverse ‘hands on’ role. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Health and Safety law and have the ability to identify and interpret operational objectives and to translate these into maintenance regimes whilst operating within agreed budgets. Although retail and/or shopping centre operational experience would be useful,
