Designer Places / Our regular showroom showcase
A FIXTURE
of London’s
Wigmore Street for a decade, Tsunami has recently broadened its focus to add supplementary products and brands to its portfolio.
New high-end brands have been introduced to the recently refurbished showroom in the areas of lighting, audio visual, tables and chairs, and the company’s bespoke design and manufacture service has been expanded to include bedrooms and bathrooms.
Neil Smith, Head of Design, said: “We intend to build on our current position, and expand our portfolio to become a lifestyle brand, rather than limit our designs to just one part of a client’s house.”
This latest development is part of the continued expansion following the management buyout of the business 18 months ago. In July 2009, retail
entrepreneur David Pidgeon, along with Heads of Design Andy Randall and Neil Smith, took control of the company with the intention of growing the business and complimenting the current and proposed new designs from Minotti Cucine.
Tsunami has invested over £500,000 in an extensive showroom re-fit. Andy Randall, Head of Design comments:
“These are exciting times, and while some kitchen companies are showing signs of distress, Tsunami continues to go from strength to strength. The new showroom is the culmination of established ideas and a new enthusiasm in the business.” designer
