This month sees the return of the big event for the bathroom sector – ISH will bring together the best that the industry has to offer for a few days in Frankfurt
WITH
around 200,000 visitors expected to descend
on Frankfurt for ISH again this year, all the signs so far are that they won’t be disappointed when it comes to new products and innovative bathroom ideas. Some of the industry big players – including Villeroy & Boch, Ideal Standard, Hansgrohe and Duravit - have been busy giving customers and press a sneak peak at some of the new products that they’ll be presenting. Others meanwhile have remained tight-lipped about their ISH offerings, preferring to unveil them at the show itself. Either way, the new products that we have
heard about are certainly worth a close-up look at the show. Duravit will be presenting an impressive array of new and re-visited products from the likes of Philippe Starck, Phoenix Design, EOOS and Matteo Thun. Hansgrohe has also wheeled out the big
guns of design, with Antonio Citterio and Starck featuring most signifi cantly. The Axor Bouroullec Collection will also be presented in all its extensive and fl exible glory. Whilst the bathroom and tile fair Cersaie – held in Bologna in late September each year – has become increasingly important in recent years, ISH remains the big show for bathrooms in Europe, a point perhaps
demonstrated by the fact that all exhibition space was booked up a full six months before the show. If you can’t make it to ISH, be sure to look out for the next two issues of Designer which will feature full reports and reviews from the show. designer
ISH takes place 15-19 March 2011 at Messe Frankfurt, Frankfurt, Germany. For further information and to register, visit
