Visit the site of Pride and Prejudice (2005) and imagine you are Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire by occasionally whispering your favourite sayings from the film in your loved ones ear.

Be like Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant in Notting Hill. Arrange to meet up for your ‘first’ encounter at the The Travel Bookshop, flirt through the bookshelves, take a stroll down Portabella Market and if you are feeling exceptionally decadent follow it up with a luxurious tea at the The Ritz.

Fancy a bit of high blue blooded living for the day? Visit the set of Brideshead Revisited at Castle Howard www.castlehoward.co.uk and wander through the Brideshead Restored exhibition; a look behind the scenes at the making of the film, though no romping on the four poster bed is allowed (not that I asked); which was such a central point to the climax of the story. To top off this St Valentine’s day indulgence, book an opulent evening of wine tasting, available complete with canapés in the gardens

Recycle Cards and Make your Own What better way to say ‘I love you’ than with a handmade card?

It can be personal, sentimental and funny and it doesn’t require trees to been chopped down. If you want to make the whole thing an eco-treat, use recycled cards, Ellie pooh paper http://www. elephantdungpaper.com or organic wild seed paper http://thegreenweddingshop.co.uk which can be planted later to bring forth flowers, expressing your love.

www.quantumhealthmagazine.com Quantum Health 51 followed by a two course locally sourced dinner.

Like something a little more steamy? If in New York, book a table for two at Katz Deli. Legendary for its scene with Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally and if you are feeling really daring….. well, we leave it to your imagination!

If you are in Paris visit Café des Deux Moulins at Montmartre for a steamy hot chocolate; the bustling Parisian café where Amélie worked in Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain and the site of Moulin Rouge.

If you are in the South UK– visit English Heritage site Osbourne House on the Isle of Wight, the love nest of Queen Victoria and Albert for visiting hours go to http://www.english-heritage.org. uk/daysout/properties/osborne-house
