We have shore fished from Alderney to the Orkneys, from over 40 ports, a couple of oceans and several seas. Do we know it all? Of course not, but it gives us a good idea of what a decent sea reel, rod and terminal tackle has to do, and what it has to cope with. We stock genuine tackle that we rate as fit for purpose. This has now been sadly discontinued but has been taken up by Total Sea Fishing and we won their first award earlier in 2006. Thanks to all who voted for us, we do our utmost to speedily supply quality tackle at the right price and to treat you as we would like to be treated. It is a real bonus for us to receive this ongoing recognition of our efforts.

Dave Box: Over 40 years in the trade, caught his first bass spinning in Ireland back in 1969. Hooked on bass ever since, returning to Kerry for 20 consecutive years as well as bassing in Wales, Devon, Cornwall, Dorset etc. Past BASS committee member, Conger Club finalist; fished in saltwater all over the world, boat and beach, always learning, always looking for the latest gear and techniques to improve our catches.
Jansen: Super keen, contributor to Sea Angler, Total and SAN. Local match angler, now specialising in 'big fish' with many specimen shore fish to his credit including tope, plaice, sole plus double figure cod and rays.
Roger: Fishing since he was a lad, he has now fished all over the world. As a previous Tackle Shop owner he brings a wealth of knowledge about fishing gear and all things angling to the team.
Lynn: Has been with VMO for over 10 years, answering the phone and entering your order data. Comes on our VMO boat fishing trips and has double figure ling, rays and conger to her credit.
Karen: Responsible for organising us and ordering. She has been with VMO from the beginning. Has done very well on our boat trips with nice conger, smooth hound, blonde and thornback rays.
Andy: With nearly 40 years saltwater fishing experience his critical expertise is invaluable when evaluating new gear. Past and present holder of Bristol Channel records, keen all round shore, small boat and charter boat angler.
Harry: Youngest member of the team, a successful junior match angler who now fishes from the shore locally, small boat fishing from Salcombe and charter boat fishing whenever he can afford it.
Vicky: Has been with VMO for over 8 years, so has a great all round knowledge of our stock and computer systems. Like all our ladies a fast and efficient order taker.
Paul: Company director and passionate angler since boyhood, concentrating on big fish. He has been in the tackle trade for over 35 years and has an in depth experience of all things fishing.
