After being snowed in for most of December and January I think we are all hoping for better and warmer weather. Sainsbury’s Saltburn Raffle of Children’s Books
Sainsbury’s at Saltburn would like to thank all their customers who helped them raise £358.82 towards the store’s local charity of the year ‘The Holistic Cancer Care Centre’ based at James Cook University Hospital. The funds were also raised from the Remembrance Tree, Guess the Price of the Trolley and the Colleague Boxing Day Dip. Store manager Ian
Wassall presented the winner of the girl’s book to Mrs Watkins. The book, ‘The Wychwood Fairies’, was written by our local authoress, Faye Durston. The boy’s book, ‘The Pirate Stories’, was won by a member of the Ovington family.
