Government Feed In Tariff (FITS) for SOLAR PANELS Explained
by Matt Rutherford, Genelex
I don’t know about you, but when I first heard about the Feed In Tariff for solar panels it took me a while to understand what the government are offering.
Of course we all know that it is important we find alternative ways of making energy, and we all want to do what we can for the environment and our own pockets. There are going to have to be massive changes to the energy landscape in the very near future and it is recognised that fossil fuels will start running out in the next 20 years. What is worrying, is not only the fact they will run out, but that these forms of energy will become so expensive in the years before they disappear.
One of the ways we can get on board now is solar energy. It

gives us a chance to generate a good portion of our own energy which will leave us better suited to weather the inevitable changes and costs of this new frontier.
offering the average homeowner a guaranteed income that will pay you back for the panels and installation, and give a substantial profit over the course of the next 25 years. An excellent offer in anybody’s book!
The government is doing this because it has a legally-binding target to ensure 15% of our energy comes from renewable sources by 2020 (from the UK renewable Energy Strategy 2009). They can’t do this without people like you – so now is the time to look to saving money and saving the planet.
The government FITS is
How it works You install your solar panels – with a MCS registered installer When you are up and running and Registered you will * earn 45p for every KWH you produce (whether you use it or not). * save on your electricity bills (this saving will increase as other energy sources become more expensive) * earn 3p for every KWH you sell back to the grid All this adds up to a great investment.
So get on board now, like others in your area, and make a great investment for both your pocket and your future. For further information or to book a FREE survey and quotation call Genelex on 01822 600700 or visit
