Stolen Catalytic Converters
by Ron Penczak Ten months ago on March 20, 2010, the Rockingham Toyota dealership reported that five catalytic converters were stolen off of five new vehicles between the 18th and 20th of that month. Between the damage to the autos and value of the converters, the estimated loss was determined to be between $12,000 and $15,000. Salem detectives are continuing to seek the public’s help in identifying the thieves. Perhaps someone in the community knows who is responsible for these thefts. If so, do your civic duty and report them to Crimeline of Southern NH. By doing so, you could be awarded up to $1,000. This is an easy way to earn legal cash for doing what’s right. If you have any information, call Crimeline of Southern NH at 893-6600 or at 1-800-498-4040, or go online to
www.crimelinesnh.com. Your call will be completely anonymous and you will be issued a secret Crimeline number known only to you and Crimeline.
It should be noted that the phone lines to Crimeline of Southern NH were out of order for a period of time. The phones are back online and procedures have been put in place to monitor them on a daily basis to ensure they remain in working order. Please—if you know of any crime and who is responsible for it, be a good citizen and call.
