Designed by KamKam, a design group located in Seoul, Korea, An Furniture is a modular storage unit that has been meticulously designed using the ‘Silver Ratio’. This mathematical constant is the same ratio used in the standard paper formats of A3, A4 , A5 etc and is considered by many artists, architects and designers to be particularly aesthetically pleasing. The furniture is comprised of a set of individual storage units that can be stacked up to make a singular entity or can be broken down into its component parts - closet, storage cabinet, bookshelf, and drawer - and distributed as necessary making it ideal for those who live in accommodation where space is limited.

FROSTED REFRIGERATION FRIENDLY BACTERIA
Bacterioptica, a strange and somewhat disturbing dining room chandelier, is the latest design to come from New Jersey-based architecture firm MADLAB. It is designed to synchronize with the life of its owners and its adaptive design means that it can evolve along with their needs. Made from an assembly of metal rods, glass petri dishes and fibre optics, Bacterioptica comes with step-by-step instructions to guide the user through procedures allowing them to prepare and cultivate bacterial samples that can then be placed within the chandelier. Whether featuring bacteria from family members, house guests, pets or the garden, Bacterioptica is constantly evolving and illuminating the bacterial life of its owner.

Slovenian appliance manufacturer Gorenje is no stranger to adding a bit of sparkle to its kitchen ranges.
