Watermark Designs recently collaborated with Incorporated NY Architecture & Design to create its newest bath series, the Brooklyn Collection. Inspired by mid-century gate valves and garden hoses used
throughout New York City, the industrial-looking Brooklyn Collection is made from solid brass and available in 35 finishes.

16 February 2011 – 7 August 2011 BRIT INSURANCE DESIGNS OF THE YEAR Design Museum, Shad Thames, London The Brit Insurance Design Awards showcase the most innovative and forward thinking designs from around the world. Last year’s winner was the Folding Plug by Min-Kyu Choi that revolutionises a humble, but essential, piece of everyday equipment.
The winners will be decided by a jury chaired by Stephen Bayley who will be joined by art and design curator Janice Blackburn OBE, graphic designer Mark Farrow, novelist Will Self, Pro Vice- Chancellor of Kingston University Penny Sparke and Simon Waterfall co-founder of digital agency Poke.
The exhibition opens with the announcement of this year’s shortlisted designs.

The Liquida kitchen is designed by Elisa and Stefano Giovannoni for Italian manufacturer Veneta Cucine. Available in three different versions – Light, Condense and Free – the compact, practical kitchen is composed of high-performance technical materials that are highly recyclable. The objectives of the designers were the
optimisation of space, concrete realism and a pragmatic approach.

The colossal bi-annual bathroom showcase returns in March promising to be every bit as busy as 2009. Featuring over 2,000 manufacturers, the exhibition attracts visitors from throughout Europe including retailers, designer, architects and other specifiers.
