I am a one-year old tan and brown, sleek female cat. I’ve been told I have a lovely, distinctive look that sets me apart from the


rest of the ladies. I am a bit laid-back, so folks don’t always notice how sweet I am. I love to play with balls and laser pointers and am good with other cats and children. I love to climb and explore, which has gotten me in a


couple sticky situations! Like many cats, I like to be in charge of when I am held, but


generally am happy to be petted or enjoy a belly rub. Like all of pets here at the Humane

I am a six-year old female who was born with an adorable bobbed tail. I like my tail admired with your eyes only, so I prefer older children and adults who are not going to be too “hands on” with me. I love to eat, especially treats and I have a pretty cool bed here that looks like a slipper. I plan to bring it with me! I am very entertaining since I like to play and manage to find things to amuse me. I can tolerate other cats since I’ve been living with them here, but generally don’t want to be friends. Mendonsa Named New Director of Admissions at Academy of Notre Dame


ubmitted by Academy of Notre Dame Jocelyn Mendonsa is heading the recruitment efforts at the Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsborough, MA, as its new Director of Admissions. She brings with her extensive experience in education- related positions. Since joining the Academy, Mendonsa has implemented outreach to several international student recruitment organizations, along with targeted marketing and direct mail campaigns. She has also brought new ideas and initiatives to the recruitment process at the Academy, which is currently preparing for its two Elementary Open Houses on January 23 and February 13. Most recently, she was Deputy Director of the Greater Lowell (MA) Community Foundation. This was preceded by five years as Director of Admissions/ International Services at Lowell Catholic High School and another four years as Program Manager at Lowell Public Schools, where she ran out-of-school academic programs.


Mendonsa is also very active in the local community as a member of several professional organizations, such as Women’s Week and the Rotary Club. She also contributes her time to the St. Patrick Parish Youth Ministry in Lowell and as a member of the Alternative House Board of Directors. She also serves on the March for Babies, March of Dimes, Massachusetts Chapter Fundraising Committee. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts- Lowell, and an Master of Arts in Management and Organizational Leadership from Springfield College’s School of Human Services.
