what you intend to do and accomplish as part of your mind-body therapy. Be as specific as you can, such as the date that you would like to be symptom free, what your body will feel like and what you will do on a daily basis to accomplish these goals.


Find time in your day for pure relaxation and deep calm. Finding peace inside, even for 10 minutes a day, can have a dramatic effect on your ability to handle stress throughout the day. Being able to stay in the present moment – or as Jon Kabat-Zinn says – “finding the bloom in each moment” can also allow you to extend that peaceful state indefinitely. Whether you meditate, yoga, tai-chi, or any other exercise where you find the quiet inside – is extremely important to counter-balance anxiety in our modern and fast-pace lives.


Create a mind-body daily habit of visualization therapy. Pick a time of the day where it is quiet and you can really dedicate to yourself. Lie down or recline


and get comfortable. Start by taking three deep breaths, and then do a simple body scan to release anxiety or tension. Using your mind's eye, go through each body part with relaxation in mind. Allow your mind and body to go completely quiet and still. At this time, begin to focus on your health condition. Allow your mind to uncover for itself the change that it needs to instruct your body to do. This is why the education of your body is so important. Turn your mind’s eye power inward and direct your body accordingly. It’s truly a powerful communication that can be life transforming.


Communicate with your body and trust your intuition. Ask your body questions, such as, "what purpose does this problem serve?" "Why do I have this condition?" "What do I gain from having this problem?" And then listen. Your body tends to speak back to you in visuals - not necessarily words.


Join a support group. Being able to unselfconsciously communicate with others about your fertility journey is incredibly powerful. There are a myriad of avenues in today’s technology to find support groups that can either by in-person, or online through online forums, Twitter, or blogging.


Believe, believe, believe. Do whatever you need to do to really understand that nothing is impossible. We all have an incredible self-healing gift and it only takes knowledge and application of easy and enjoyable methods to allow your body to return back to health and restored ovulation and fertility. The brain-fertility connection is absolutely real and we must pay it the attention it deserves.


And of course see your doctor. Mind-body therapy is only one leg of the stool. There is a time and a place for the medical experts to weigh in and provide their support and guidance. But remember that your brain also holds incredible powers that may just hold the key to unlocking your fertility and allowing your dreams of family building to be fulfilled.
