Litchfield National Park is one of the Northern Territory’s newest national parks, with 146,000 virtually untouched hectares waiting to be explored. View Florence Falls from a lookout positioned high above the falls. Continue to Tolmer Falls, where you can take a short walk to be rewarded with spectacular views of the falls. From here, venture to Wangi Falls for a picnic lunch. There is a natural waterhole, where you have time to relax and swim if you wish (conditions permitting).

Tiwi artist, Bathurst Island


Sightseeing


Fly to Bathurst Island and visit the Aboriginal community of Nguiu. Visit the museum with its interesting displays of traditional art and depictions of the Tiwi Dreamtime stories. Purchase Tiwi arts, crafts and fabric at island prices. There will also be a performance of totem dances and a smoking ceremony to bless the visitors. Take a scenic drive through the wilderness of Bathurst Island. Enjoy lunch and visit a local waterhole for a swim (bring swimmers and towel).
