In the Path of the Crane (Unspoilt Hokkaido) Itinerary

Tour description Hokkaido’s grand mountain scenery is alive with unique and varied wildlife; red crowned cranes stand sharply against the landscape, Stellar’s sea eagles soar up rocky peninsulas, herds of Sika deer, red fox and Japanese ‘snow monkeys’ will delight the animal lovers among you. The fascinating and remote Sado Island – once place for exiled poets and priests – sports its own unique culture, along with the easy pace of island life and the fresh food. It is also Japan’s last haven for the endangered Crested Ibis bird, which has recently been reintroduced back into the wild.
