On Sir Bani Yas Island, 240 kilometres west of Abu Dhabi, the Arabian Wildlife Park, which is home to free roaming animals, takes up more than three quarters of the island, and now offers 4x4 guided game drivers. One way to take part in these adventures is to stay at the boutique, luxury Desert Island Resort & Spa. The park has many arabian oryx, gazelles and giraffes, along with the newest arrivals, hyenas and cheetas. There are also two flights a week to the island from Abu Dhabi.
