Tavistock Computer Recycle and Training are now Selling and Surfing in the Pannier Market Shops
TAVISTOCK Recycled Computer and Training is back in the Pannier Market shops, bigger and better than ever. There has always been a need for our service and we thank everyone who sent us good wishes during Janet’s illness. We know that you have been waiting for us to return.
Janet has taught people to use the computer and get established online for over ten years now. We started in the old Tindle business start up offices on Callington Road. When the premises were sold, to turn them into flats, we became mobile and taught in churches and community centres. There has been a continual stream of people learning with us, many have become personal friends and continual supporters. We have wanted a permanent base for a long time and thanks to Tavistock Town Council we now have moved into 5 Eastend Shops, The Pannier Market (opposite the launderette).

W offer a Free Service is to assist people in making a decision to get online in their own home. It is backed by the government advertising scheme to make the Internet work for them. We are not agents for any landline or mobile broadband supplier, so we are able to give complete independent advice and also provide access to the Internet so that customers can check out the providers themselves (with help if needed). We are a Not For Profit Community Enterprise.We do not get funding from the government but we charge as little as we can because we do not aim to make a profit. So as well as surfing we are selling to raise funds to meet the business needs. So even if you don’t need a lesson you can support us by buying hand made quality cards and computer related items. If you have unwanted items to donate, we can sell them to raise funds.
