The waters surrounding Phuket offer some of the best diving in Thailand. To promote rapid and safe learning, our diving partner in Phuket have certified PADI/NAUI instructors fluent in English, with classroom and convenient nearby dive sites for student training. Dry season is the best time for diving (from November through to April), although dive operations are being conducted all year round. Water temperature is about 27-28 Celsius and visibility varies depending on the dive site and weather conditions. For local Phuket dive sites, expect up to 25 meters, but for Similan and other outlying islands it is up to 40 meters. The most unspoilt area for diving currently is the between Phuket and the Burma banks in an area called Mergui Archipelago. Liveaboards are available for diving this area.
