reality, most don’t attend church or mass. When they discover the message of Jesus Christ and are confronted with truth, usually for the first time in their life, they are often very surprised. Chileans, especially in the urban areas like Santiago, complain of lack of employment, many having only temporary jobs and desperately need something more stable. Life and work in a city this size is often very stressful and puts enormous strains on the family. Many parents have to work at two jobs, wives and mothers also working to make ends meet. They don’t give much time to religion or spiritual things. There is a big problem with infidelity in the marriage. Kids are often very independent-minded, parents losing control of their children after a certain age. That is a real social dilemma that many parents face. The youth of Chile seem to be adrift spiritually. There is a big drug and alcohol problem, and many young women
