Doris Antoinette Guay

Doris Antoinette Guay, 88, of Pelham, formerly of Biddeford, ME, passed away on December 20, 2010, at her residence with her family at her side. Doris was born in Biddeford on November 2, 1922, the daughter of Philippe and Marie Anna (Doyon) Remillard. She was educated at St. Joseph’s School in Biddeford. Doris married the love of her life, Paul L. Guay, on October 24, 1942. Mrs. Guay worked at a machine shop in Somersworth

during World War II. Later she was employed at Pepperell Manufacturing and was also a shoe stitcher at Bruce Shoe

Company for 18 years. Doris enjoyed crocheting, doing word searches, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. She especially loved to spend time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul L. Guay; her brother, Roland Remillard; and her grandson, Robby Harrison who was also her godchild. Doris is survived by her daughter Laurette E. Guay of New Hampshire with

whom she resided; her grandson, Larry Harrison and his wife Cindy; and three great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Brenden and Ronan. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on December 23 from St. Joseph’s Church, Good Shepherd Parish. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco, ME.

Ronald E. Simonsen Ronald E. Simonsen, 55, of

Pelham, died peacefully on December 15, 2010, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Ronnie was born and raised

in Fairhaven, MA, and he lived in Pelham. He worshipped at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church in Salem. He was a member of SARC and Region 10. Ronnie’s

passion was acting and singing. He participated in the “Play Among the Stars” theatre group. He enjoyed going to camp, especially the actors’ camp, Cheshire Project, in California. He spent many wonderful summers at Camp Jabberwocky. He acted in the film How’s Your News. Ronnie was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was predeceased by his

Lorraine A. Barclay Lorraine A. (Eccleston) Milley Barclay,

81, of Windham, died December 18, 2010, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. She was born in Noank, CT, grew up,

and was educated in East Boston, MA. She was a resident of Windham for the past 35 years, and was formerly of North Reading, MA. Lorraine was retired from Digital

Equipment Corp. in Salem where she worked for over 15 years. She also retired from Winchester Hospital as a Central Service Tech. She was a former member of the Eastern Star in Reading, MA.

Lorraine was known for her love of baking. She was known as the “Bakery Lady” in Windham. She would deliver cookies and baked goods to local stores, town hall, and banks. She was also an avid Bingo player. All who knew her know that Lorraine’s family was everything to

her. Lorraine was the heart of a large and loving family. She is survived by her husband, John A. Barclay of Windham; daughters, Susan and her husband Roy Thompson of Tewksbury, MA, and Carol Ricker of Medford, MA; son, Allan and his wife Debbie Milley of Auburn, MA; stepchildren, Deborah Legere and Kevin Barclay of Lawrence, MA; sisters-in-law, Carol Sadzewicz of Salem, and Sis Eccleston of Epsom; grandchildren, Donna Stephens, Bill Thompson, Kimberly Emmons, Brenda Thompson, and Michael Ricker; seven great-grandchildren; and a very special niece, Lori Wysock of Washington State.
