Lab/Hound cross, though I think the hound in me is dominant because I love to sniff and explore everything! I am a fun-loving dog who likes to play ball and tug of war, but like any dog, I play to win. I’m young and have not been socialized much, so I’m hopeful that my new owner will have enough time to play and bring me to dog parks and groups. The adoption counselors say I’ll learn a lot from interacting with other people and dogs. I do love older kids and would be a great friend to them, but I need a home without cats. submitted by Rhonda Bleeker The Rockingham Area Youth Swim (RAYS) team held its first home meet of the fall and winter season on November 17 with a dual meet against the Peterborough (Area) Swim Team (PST) at the Workout Club and Wellness Center in Salem. With nearly all of the young RAYS swimmers and many of the older RAYS swimmers in attendance at this meet, the growth of the team was evident, as the pool deck was brimming with RAYS swimmers. Scoring in individual events depended on how many swimmers were entered in a given race. In most cases, first through third places scored in individual events. The RAYS swimmers from Windham, Salem, and Pelham who placed in individual events at this meet were as follows by age and gender: 8 & U Girls: Abbie Patchen (Pelham), first in 25 Free Melina Fedele (Windham), second in 25

Alvirne Hockey played against Souhegan Sabers, with AHS winning 5-0. The players pictured are Dan Lebourdais (#14), Ryan Bellerose (#8), and Bobby Savoie (goalie). AHS’s record is 3-0; so far this season, AHS beat Manchester West, 7-3, and beat Kearsarge, 3-2, on December 20. AHS’s first home game is January 5 at 5:50 p.m. versus Kennett.
