Gilbert’s holiday lights and 28-foot-tall holiday tree remain at the Gilbert Civic Center grounds through Jan. 2. Through that date families can skate on the Chick-fil-A Skating Rink, a 1,800-square-foot rink made of eco-friendly synthetic hybrid ice. Skating sessions are 20 to 30 minutes and cost $5 per person, which includes skate rental. Only adults and children ages 5 and older that are at least 38 inches tall can skate.
