Dr. Fitzgibbons of We Care Pediatrics go without notice. She is by far the most caring, compassionate thorough doctor I have seen. I cannot imagine the thought process behind that move. He then does not alert her patients as if her not being there were no big deal and another doctor without notice would be fine. What was he thinking? That is bad business Dr. Sharma and I for one am following Dr. Lisa wherever her new practice is!”

“Thumbs up to the Salem Rams

Division 10 Cheerleaders! It’s been a great year. Best of luck in Florida as you compete for the National Championship. You’re amazing as a team and have done so well in all your competitions. It’s an honor to compete for the national title and it’s even more of an honor to be your parents! You are all champs in our eyes. Go Salem Rams!”

enforcement officer does all that much. Just check around town and you’ll see for yourself.”

“Thumbs down to Millville lake protective association. Millville beach area looks like a dump year round!”

“Thumbs down, a big ‘thumbs down’ to the principals at the Woodbury Middle School for using laser pointers in the cafeteria. Last I have checked there was a law against pointing lasers at people. I am sure

they all wouldn’t enjoy having lasers pointed at them. Also why do they feel the need to carry around large, heavy, metal flashlights? Are they using them to intimidate the students? The teachers at Salem High never use flashlights or laser pointers. ‘Thumbs up’ to Salem High for that. At Woodbury, they bang them on the tables in the cafeteria and carry them in the halls. Mr. Murray also likes to perform like an act in a circus and twirl his flashlight in the air. Imagine what would happen if that huge metal flashlight were

School District for continuing to support Everyday Math in our elementary schools. Our math scores in NECAP put us as a district in need of improvement. Why are we not considering a different curriculum? For those who do not have a child in our school system. Our children don’t learn how to ‘borrow’ or ‘carry.’ This program emphasizes ideas and calculators and discourages extensive practice problems and memorization of addition and multiplication tables. Many teachers do not support the program, despite being forced to use it. Where is our School Board?”

“Thumbs down to our BOS. Just shows us things are not going to change when you dismiss the one candidate for the Managers job who believes in the ‘chain of command,’ and doesn’t think Selectmen should be meddling with Department Heads and their employees! So discouraging, here we go again!”

“Thumbs down. The code enforcer’s job has $5 OFF

back and considering the impact on the town if voters cut the code enforcement job at Town Meeting. The town has a well-paid chief building official who surely could pick up the slack. We frequently read how slow the building business is and I’m sure this man, if pressed, could step in and help out until the economy picks up. Many townspeople in the dreaded ‘public sector’ who are fortunate enough to still have jobs are most likely doing double duty and are grateful for it. Perhaps it’s time to spread the responsibilities around. After all, it’s not like the code

to hit a student! Also, if a student were to bring a flashlight to school it would be considered a weapon and would be confiscated, and would mostly likely result in suspension. So why should they be able to use them? Same idea with the laser pointer. Maybe the Woodbury principals should ask the Salem High principals for some pointers on how to control the kids without using weapons.”

“Thumbs down to the Christmas craft fair at Lancaster school. Almost none of the stands were homemade crafts, while most of them were store bought items. It seemed more like a flea market than a place to show off holiday crafts.”

never been carried out in a responsible manner. In addition to the house on Millville Street that was mentioned last week, there are for sale signs that hang off some of those cars at times. Welcome to the used car lot in the middle of a residential neighborhood then continue through the 4 corners up Millville street to the first house on the right and look to t6he lot beyond the hose, trucks, cars, boats, tools. “Thumbs up to the Mary Fisk School for winning the ‘best parade’ trophy. Great job! Parents and children pitched in and the parade was enjoyed by everyone. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the Mary Fisk school.”

“Thumbs down to Mr.

DiFruscia. I know he lost the election but he still has two signs on the side of the road on Pleasant Street, right near #90. He lost the election, can’t he pick up the signs? He’s a poor loser.”
