Nolan Belk presented a paper at the Science Fiction Research Association’s 2010 international conference in Arizona entitled “With Guns Blazing: Confl ict and Compromise as Foundation for Multicultural Society at the Galactic Trading Post in Babylon 5.“ WGS Graduate Certifi cate 2010


Helen Moses Cannon lives in Eugene, Oregon where she earned her Masters in Education last December. She teaches 7th grade English and World History at Sweet Home Jr. High. She runs with the Cross Country Club, helps coach the track team, and works for the City of Eugene Outdoor Program on the weekends and in the summer. WGS BA 2006


Sarah Hamrick started in July as a Program Manager with the UNCG College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center. She is a mentor with the UNCG Guarantee Scholarship program, and spends almost all her free time playing roller derby with Greensboro’s team, The Gate City Roller Girls. Her roller derby name is Pinky la Pain, and she plays in the jammer position. WGS BA 2010


Christy Hyman is currently in her fi rst year of graduate school at Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA. She is working on her MA in History. WGS BA 2008


Melody (Heath) Inglesby runs her own jewelry and crafts business from her home making handmade jewelry and latch hook pillows. She is an active member of the Health Council Ministry at her church where she helps present health-related programs to her congregation. WGS BA 2009


Dr. Rebecca Jones was awarded tenure and promoted in 2010 at the University of Tennessee, Chatt anooga. She is now Associate Professor of Rhetoric and Composition. Jones also teaches women’s studies courses regularly. She is currently working on projects related to the creation and maintenance of community belief systems and activists rhetorics. Jones has been awarded the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Teacher Award. WGS Graduate Certifi cate 2004

Isabell Moore is a UNCG WGS faculty lecturer teaching WGS 250 and will teach WGS 270 - Sexuality and Culture this spring. She is also a faculty member at Guilford Technical Community College in the History Department. WGS MA 2009


Daniel Rhodes works at Guilford College as a visiting assistant professor in Justice and Policy Studies teaching courses in the Community and Justice Studies major.

Donyell L. Roseboro, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Instructional Technology, Foundations, and Secondary Education at UNC- Wilmington. She has a forthcoming edited volume entitled The Sexuality Curriculum and Youth Culture. Co-edited with Dennis Carlson (Miami University) the book is due out in spring 2011 with Peter Lang. Dr. Liz Vogel is teaching at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA as an assistant professor in English. She focuses on gender studies within several of her courses. WGS Graduate Certifi cate 2008


Elizabeth Wilkinson is as an assistant professor at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Her main appointment is in the English department teaching Native American and American Women’s literatures. Her courses are often cross listed with the American Culture and Diff erence program and the Women’s Studies program. She just joined the Women’s Studies Advisory Committ ee for a three-year term. Dr. Lynn Zimmerman recently published a book entitled ESL, EFL & Bilingual Education: Exploring Historical, Sociocultural, Linguistic, and Instructional Foundations.
