Gunnery range: There was a WWII gunnery and bombing range at Dinas which was used by American forces for anti-aircraft training. The quadrant tower was in the village itself, just off the lane to Cwm-yr-Eglwys.

Mynydd Dinas: On the hillside are the bases of two huts, all that remain of of a Second World War HF/DF direction finding station operated by the RAF. There are also the remnants of what appears to have been a coast-watcher’s post.
