A meeting took place in Tidworth at the home of HQ 43 Wessex Bde between the Chief Executive Officer of Elior and the Commander of the Brigade. Their discussions were centred on the delivery of the services being provided to the military personnel and their families by Elior in the SW region.
A geographical area that extends from the borders of Hampshire and Wiltshire to Lands End, in which an estimated customer base of some 60,000 military personnel, their families and civilian counterparts are based in one of the largest containments of military locations and military populous in the UK.
From the client perspective there was much to be explored in regard to understanding and engaging in the impact that the MOD structures and Elior, as an integral part of those military communities, have on local communities and their economy. Discussion turned to food supply and local resource, what opportunities existed for local suppliers, how do Elior already seek to provide locally resourced produce, how does this effect and how do we respond in order to meet our stated Corporate Responsibilities in this area?
Understanding the need to address these issues from a Community Engagement and Communication perspective the CEO of Elior suggested a Food Fayre. This would enable
