SUCCESSFUL FIRST TERM FOR NEW BROWNIE LEADERS

As the first term of Abbots Langley Brownies is drawing to a close with a new leadership team, and My Abbots News caught up with Brown Owl and Tawny Owl to see how they are getting on. Claire Duggett, a.k.a Tawny Owl, said: “The

previous Guiders ran the Pack for five years until July 2010 and did a fantastic job. Luckily Liz (Brown Owl) has a lot of Guiding experience and has been involved since she was a Brownie. I had been helping out at the Pack and had just started my leader training, which was good timing.” The Brownies also recently moved venue to the

Methodist Church. “We would like to say a massive thank you to the Church for all their kindness and support,” said Liz. “We would also like to say thank you to all the parents for the support they have shown us. “We were absolutely delighted to be chosen by

the Church as this year‟s nominated charity at the Rainbow Fair last month. The funds from the Fair will help us buy sports equipment, craft

materials and hopefully start a Pack holiday account.” My Abbots News played a vital role in

securing the new leadership at 1st Abbots Langley Brownies, when Liz replied to an article she saw in April‟s edition. The Pack has continued to thrive and enjoys a fun-packed programme of activities each term. F o r mo r e i n f o rma t i o n ema i l
