The Oval Brasserie and it’s owner Mr Miah have been in the area now for many years and, to be honest, the food, the service and the restaurant in general just keep getting better and better! The restaurant was completely overhauled a while back and you only have to experience the ambience to realise that not a penny was spared in doing so - it really is a delightful place to eat. The Oval Brasserie is now also a group on Facebook so you will be able to find them there, join up and receive news on all the coming events at the restaurant. Wednesday evening is 5 Course Banquet Night where you can have any one starter, any one main course (except King Prawn), any one side dish and any one rice or nan bread - all for only £10.95.

‘The Anchor’ - formerly the Blue Anchor - in Bridgen Road Bexley has recently undergone a total refit and new Proprietor Karen McKie is now looking forward to the festive season with great optimism. “Our Christmas menu’s offer a wonderful choice and are great value for money whatever the size of your family - whether it’s our ‘lead-up menu’ or our Christmas Day menu there are even choices on the kids menus.” said Karen. “The Christmas menus start from 22nd of November and run right through to the 30th December, obviously our everyday menus are still also available”, she added. The regular menu at The Anchor also contains a very interesting variety with such delicacies as Jungle Chicken and Sweet Potato & Spinach Curry - in the curry selection, and Lamb Shank, Hunters Chicken in their ‘favourites’ selection. You can also obviously plump for a burger or a grill - with choices such as Mixed Grill and King Surf & Turf. Many of these are also included in their 2 for £10 promotion. The Anchor also have a ‘Diamond Club’ exclusively for the over 50’s, where you can join for free and then get two courses from the selected menu, Monday to Friday, for only £6.75.
