Farm News Emily Christen SISTERS, OR

Silver Bells (Amara’s O’Biwon/Danika [Hanoverian]), aka “Ozzie”, and I just finished competing in the High Desert Classic Week Two. We were in the .90- and 1-meter jumper classes and I ended up with Reserve Champion in the .90 meter class. I am also off to Re- gionals and the ODS Championships for dressage in September. We’re currently ranked #5 nationally for training level!!!

We won First Place at JR/YR Training Level @ Oregon Dressage Society Championships as well as the the Young Rider High Point Award for the show Sept 11- 12 @ Devonwood in Sherwood, Or.

At the Region 6 and Northwest Championships, we won first place at the NWDC Championships, JR/YR Training Level and third place for Region 6 JR Train- ing Level in Auburn, WA.

They kept announcing Ozzie’s name and his breed and so many people were asking about him. Brooke Voldbaek was at both shows and I believe she rode a Shagya for Adele Furby at some point. [Adele con- firmed that Brooke rode *Shandor.] Anyway, lots of interest in the Shagya breed at both Northwest shows.

Editor’s Update: Emily and Ozzie won at training level for junior and open divisions in the USDF all- breeds awards, with an amazing average of 69+%!!!

NASS Board Member Kathleen Warren looks for- ward to presenting Emily’s award at the USDF awards ceremony in December.
