One drive dOes it all

Suitable for driving almost any LEDmanufacturer’s products, Recom's latest LED drivers are set to simplify purchasing

Dengrove has invested in new staff with the appointment of commercial director, GrahamMunson, and business development manager,Mark Taylor

Now available from distributor, Dengrove Electronic Components, Recomhas developed a new series of constant current LED drivers

with universal AC inputs, power factor correction and UL

certification. Ideal for commercial, residential and industrial lighting systems, the first two products in the 'all inclusive' RACD series are a 12Wand a 20Wsolution, designed tomeet the needs of high brightness LED lighting.

With universal AC input and constant current output of 350 or

700mA, the AC input LED drivermodules are said to be capable of driving almost any LEDmanufacturer’s products and almost all LEDs systems. This is because they have awide output voltage range over which the constant current regulationworks. They can be usedwith single LEDs orwith strings of up to 16 LEDs.

Both the RACD12 and RACD20 feature built-in power factor

correction and 3kVAC input/output isolation. They have a fused input and boast protection against short circuit, open circuit, overload and over temperature, all of which supports a robust, trouble-free and safe design with over 70,000 hours of operating life. The converters are certified to UL8750 standard for driving LED arrays.

According to Recomthe drivers are simple to use and offer both

input and output screw terminals and an additional 5.5mmsocket output. The socket allows the LEDs to be pre-wired with a matching plug to avoid possiblemis-wiring andmake lighting installation easier and safer.

In order to further simplify sourcing, Dengrove is pleased to

announce that it has been appointed UK distribution partner for Kingtronics' range of trimming potentiometers,MLCC capacitors, tantalumcapacitors, surge arrestors, diodes and rectifiers.

Commercial director, GrahamMunson, explained: “Kingtronics'

product range addresses a number of applications that align with our current customer base. It also enables Dengrove Electronic Components to address new customers, especially where Kingtronics offers good lead-times.”

Grahamis, in fact, a newface at Dengrove, having been recently

appointed as commercial director. Grahambrings 20 years plus experiencewithin the electronic

components industry, havingworked at Avnet for 10 years andwith three varied semiconductormanufacturers over the last 10 years.

Dengrove has also appointed a newbusiness developmentmanager, Mark Taylor, who brings over 10 years experience in the electronic component distribution business.

Commenting on the investments, GrahamMunson said: “This is

an opportunity to enable independent distributor, Dengrove Electronic Components, to strategically position itself in becoming a valued supplier to the UK customer base.”

Finally, Dengrove Electronic Components is proactively seeking
