Day School performs community services SanTan Sun children ages 2 through eighth grade are eligible to participate in AZ Winter Days Break Camp at the East Valley JCC.
The Day Camp runs Mon., Dec. 20 through Fri., Dec. 31. Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and early and late stay are available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Activities are planned around the theme of “Winter in the Arizona Desert.” Campers enjoy fi eld trips, cooking, sports, arts and crafts and more. Older campers take off- campus fi eld trips to the AZ Mining & Mineral Museum and Desert Botanical Gardens, while younger campers have special guests at camp.

The JCC is located at 908 N. Alma School Rd. in Chandler on the southwest corner of Alma School and Ray roads.
Community service
Chandler’s East Valley Jewish Day School participates in many activities throughout the year including those that promote community building, “gemilut hasadim” and “tukkun olam,” acts of loving kindness and repair of the world, and some to help raise funds for the school. During the year, students save foil drink packets to reuse through
Terracycle.org, which recycles them into pencil cases, backpacks and other items for sale at local
stores. The school has also become a pickup location for Green Bee Produce, a local company that contracts with local businesses to supply customers with fresh food. The school also hosts fundraising nights at various local businesses.
Founded in 1999, the East Valley Jewish Day School is a private, coeducational day school for kindergarten through sixth grade, provides a curriculum of Judaic and secular studies and enrichment opportunities and welcomes families from all facets of the community.
