What do you look for when you go out Christmas shopping?


Independent shops offering a unique selection of gifts? A great atmosphere? Car parks, museums, theatres and restaurants nearby? The top end of Monmouth has it all.


THE PEDESTRIANISED Church Street is full of independent shops and restaurants, and is home to the Savoy Theatre, one of the oldest working theatres in Wales. From there you can walk through the


grounds of the medieval St Mary’s Church and onto Monk Street. Or why not wander through White Swan Court and out onto Priory Street, home of Monmouth Museum with views over the River Monnow itself. Munday and Jones the grocers is one shop which really adds to the appeal and old-world charm of Church Street with its boxes of fruit and vegetables spilling out onto the street, tempting the eyes and the taste-buds.
