With the economy as it is no wonder the antiques trade is bouyant - we are continually being told ‘we are taking our money out of the bank and buying antiques’.


This is reflected in the increase in footfall through the doors at any one of AFCs fairs.


Exeter Racecourse on October 22 and 23 was extremely well attended with buyers and sellers alike.


The four rooms were fully booked and saw exhibitors including Richard

Some centre of room stands are available inside at £95 for an 8'x5' pitch, and for the brave souls outside pitches can be pre-booked for £60 for the two days or £70 as a casual pitch.


December will see a slight alteration for buyers to ensure buyers see everything available with the addition of a covered walkway linking the Romany King and Martin Pipe rooms as well as a plan of the fair for every buyer who comes in.


Refreshments are available along with security and disabled parking.


The Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, sees two more two-day fairs in 2011 - Easter weekend April 22 and 23 and August bank holiday weekend 27 and 28.

Hoppe (Through the Keyhole), Bampton Gallery, Chapel antiques, Glenn Ogden coins, Exeter Silver, John Galloway, Stephenie Blanchard, Linda Bayliss and Lynne Turner.


The foyer and Romany King room, which were solely given over to furniture saw - among others - Baroque, Stephen Dymond, Higher Living and Michael Trafford.


The high standard of exhibitors and stunning location were frequently commented on by buyers and sellers alike along with the interesting mix of outside pitches, marquees and tents.


AFC Fairs are looking forward to


Following the huge success at the showground this year Easter 2011 will also have an auto jumble and classic cars and free entertainment on the Friday evenings again from fantastic local duo ‘Sidewinders & Hog Roast’, with refreshments available to purchase both days.


The two buildings - the Pavilion and Exhibition Hall - both have an eclectic mix of antique and collectables and are linked by the outside pitches, marquees, tents and refreshment areas.


St Mellion International Golf Resort is another stunning location which saw a record attendance on November 7.


With up to 105 stands including a View of the Exhibition Hall, Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge.
