Vitamin - Needle Lamp The Needle Lamp features two large-scale polished aluminum needles making up the arm and head of the lamp, a solid steel base, and a brightly coloured cable wrapped around the needles resembling a ball of wool. The two needles are adjustable and the lamp uses high powered LEDs producing an impressive glow from the minimal form. www.vitaminliving.com

Roberto Tweraser - TIPSY Roberto Tweraser exhibited his self balancing floor lamp prototypes called TIPSY at the show. Tipsy was completely derived and based on Newton’s laws of motion and equilibrium. The integration and manipulation of these laws resulted in the creation of a lamp, which is able to balance itself vertically, horizontally and in any angle in between, on a complete sphere. www.tweraserdesign.com

Macmaster Design - Iris floor lamp The Iris floor lamp consists of six individual iris inspired leaves made from solid laminations of timber. Due to the nature of solid timber, its movement means that no lamp will be the same as the other, each will form to its own individual shape. The lamp uses an energy saving lamp for an ambient light, which casts subtle shadows created by the leaves. Iris is made to order and can be finished in most timbers or colour lacquer. www.macmasterfurniture.com

Anglepoise lamps The Terry family has been continually producing Anglepoise lamps since they were invented in 1932 by George Carwardine. In 1934 the refined three-spring version was introduced and subsequently its form and function have become iconic benchmarks. The Original 1227 is made of aluminium with a cast iron base. It is available in four classic colours: red, black, blue and cream and the company has now launched a chrome version. Anglepoise exhibited a new addition to the Type1228 range designed by Kenneth Grange: the Type1228 wall fixing available in green, blue, orange, grey and white. www.anglepoise.com
