International T

he brand-new Société des bingos du Québec (SBQ-a subsidiary of Loto-Québec) Kinzo game venue opened its doors on October 19.

Kinzo is a fast-paced, intense new game where suspense meets excitement. It is held in a unique environment, accentuated by screen and ceiling multimedia animation accompanied by thrilling sound effects. Kinzo stands out through the original way players show they win–by hitting a button located at their table.

In offering Kinzo to the public, the SBQ will be able to add profits from this new game to network bingo profits, while the bingo industry will also benefit from a regional development fund.

The New Way to Win To play Kinzo, wagers are placed in the

designated area on the gaming table. The cost of a Kinzo ticket is $2. The ticket game area* has 15 numbers divided into three lines and nine columns of tens, to make it easy to find numbers as play progresses.

There are two games in Kinzo:

THE LINE

The first player to check off the five numbers in a horizontal line and announce it according to the rules of the game by hitting the button in front of him wins the prize for the Line Game.

15/15

The draw continues until one player has checked off all 15 numbers on their ticket and announced it according to the rules of the game by

hitting the button in front of him. That player will then win the 15/15 prize. One signal announces the end of the Line Game and another, the end of the 15/15.

The two Kinzo games are always followed by a pause during which tickets are sold for the next games. Games thus alternate with pauses. At specific other times during business hours, other types of tickets are also sold. These are four-dollar Kinzo Plus tickets and six-dollar Kinzo Royal tickets. Kinzo Plus and Kinzo Royal are played the same way as Two-dollar Kinzo.

Winners

Kinzo prizes are based on a pari-mutuel system, which means that they vary in accordance with ticket sales in the hall. In addition, by completing a 15/15 game in less than the required amount of numbers, players can win $25,000, $50,000 or even $100,000.
