A new Government and a new beginning for AD


I


t’s no longer a maybe! Anaerobic digestion (AD) is the third objective listed in the environment section of the


Coalition Agreement demonstrating that the new Government is fully committed to turn the industry’s dream into reality.


The Agreement, which states that measures will be put in place “to promote a HUGE INCREASE in energy from waste through anaerobic digestion,” has injected renewed enthusiasm, encouragement and backing into this


renewable energy which is now set to play a key part in achieving our 2020 energy targets.
