Learning Together at Aldenham An excellent all round education

Founded as a traditional boys’ boarding school in 1597, Aldenham School in Elstree has come a long way. Fortunately for Karren Brady, Aldenham started taking girls into the Sixth Form in 1980 and she joined the School shortly afterwards. With many fond memories of this stage of her education, Karren describes the years she spent at Aldenham as being one of the best times she ever had, declaring that in her experience not only did the School encourage academia but it also promoted individualism and confidence building.

These are exciting times at Aldenham as the opening of a Preparatory School and full co-education now available throughout the School offers the opportunity for uninterrupted education for 3-18 year old boys and girls on the same 100 acre site.

Today Aldenham offers Day, Boarding and Flexi-Boarding options to both girls and boys, in a small caring school with a staff to pupil ratio of 1:8 so pupils can enjoy the individual care and attention they need and

deserve. Still situated on the same original glorious site in beautiful Hertfordshire countryside surrounded by green fields, within the M25 yet only 30 minutes from central London and Heathrow Airport, Aldenham has a reputation for building confidence and providing unrivalled opportunities through

a traditional academic and sporting education.

Aldenham prepares today’s pupils for tomorrow’s world, giving them a chance to shape their future through a caring, supportive community based on first-class teaching and a focus on the individual.

Opened in 2008 the modern theatre with tecnical suite and studio classroom provides a state of the art performing arts centre.

The Aldenham Preparatory School, situated within the safe and picturesque grounds of the School, offers wonderful opportunities for girls and boys to learn in a purposeful atmosphere with first class facilities.
