A really funny, modern story set in the 1930s.


Who is your favourite character?


This is so hard to answer, I love every child in the Ruggles family, from well- meaning Lily Rose right down to prize-winning baby


William! But I think Kate Ruggles is probably my favourite character because I felt I could connect to her emotions so much in the story.


Why should other Puffineers read this book?


It has tons of heartwarming, funny and adventurous stories for boys and girls. It will make you laugh and cry and then laugh a bit more.


Why should The Family From One End Street be crowned the Puffin of Puffins?


It has been around for such a long time (since 1937) but seems so relevant to life today. It is really enjoyable to read, and if it were a fish for the puffins to eat then it would be the biggest kipper you had ever seen – they’d have to get a forklift truck to carry it!
