Sustainable Buildings Canada was founded in 2002 and works to educate, support and em- power the construction industry in Canada by empowering policy makers and educating construction industry professionals. The or- ganization runs training and education pro- grams, fosters business opportunities between major organizations and individuals, and promotes the building of green commer- cial buildings and residential houses through- out Canada.

The World Green Building Council is a union of na- tional Green Building Coun- cils that are based around the world. The organization aims to be a voice that will facilitate the construction industry’s shift towards sustainability. The organiza- tion facilitates the collabo- ration between various national green councils or unions to increase the pro- file of the green building market and truly make a difference in the world by establishing a large and powerful organization.
